Terms of use
By installing or using Thumbpause you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
What Thumbpause is
A tool that puts a pause in front of apps you choose and helps you set limits. It is a self-help tool, not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat or cure anything, and the coach is not a therapist. If you are struggling, please see a doctor or counsellor.
Using it
- You are responsible for the rules you set. Hard mode does what you tell it, including keeping an app closed for the hours you chose.
- Do not try to break, reverse-engineer or overload the service, or use it to harm others.
- You must be at least 13, or the age your country requires to agree to this yourself.
Subscriptions
Paid plans are sold and billed by Google Play or the App Store, which handle payment, receipts, refunds and cancellation under their own rules. Trials and prices are shown before you subscribe. Cancel in your store account at any time; you keep access until the period you paid for ends. We do not raise the price of an existing subscriber's plan.
Your content
What you write (reasons, coach messages) is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the app for you, as described in the privacy policy.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep Thumbpause reliable, but it is provided as it is. Phones, Android versions and other apps change, and we cannot promise it will block or pause every app every time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will say so in the app when it matters. You can stop using Thumbpause and delete your account whenever you like. Write to hello@thumbpause.com. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts there have jurisdiction, without taking away protections your local consumer law gives you.
